About cookies

Cookies are files, often with unique identifiers, that are sent to web browsers through a web server and that can be returned to the server each time a browser requests a page.

Cookies can be used by web servers to identify and track users as they navigate different pages on a website, and to identify users returning to a website.
Cookies can be either “fixed” cookies or “session” cookies. An uninterrupted cookie contains a text file sent by a web server to a web browser, which will be saved by the browser and will remain valid until the set expiration date (not deleted by the user before expiration). On the other hand, a session cookie will end at the end of the session when the web browser is closed.
